The ancient arts of storytelling and feltmaking combine in this wonderful workshop experience.

Images inspired by the tales told are worked in paper collage and then translated into handmade felt to create a meaningful wall-hanging or a gorgeous piece of art-to-wear.

Workshop One: FABLE

Be transported into a magical world as you listen to a selection of folk and fairytales. Create a palette of hand-printed paper and make a collage to use as a blue-print for your hand-felted piece. This workshop is also suitable as inspiration for a mosaic.

Workshop Two: FELT

Learn to make richly textured felt. Make pre-felt pieces inspired by your collage colours, then cut and piece together. Continue the felting process to make a beautiful piece of handmade fabric.

Felt workshop includes learning to make silk paper to add a gorgeous lustre to the handmade felt.
